La Cocina de Francy (Av. Este 2 e/Tracabordo, La Candelaria, Caracas) – this restaurant serves Venezuelan dishes, such as pelao guayanés (chicken stew with herbs and olive oil), and pabellón criollo (a popular meal consisting of rice, black beans, fried plantains, and shredded beef). Since this is South America, various types of arepas (cornmeal cakes) are also served (with fillings of cheese, ham or Venezuelan-styled scrambled eggs).
